18.06.2010 -
After the success of Welcome Office Trieste, a pilot project
initiated a year ago, "Welcome Office Friuli Venezia Giulia" has
officially opened to welcome researchers and students from all over
the world who are planning to spend time studying and undertaking
research at institutions and research bodies in Friuli Venezia
Giulia. Now that the University of Udine has joined the programme,
Welcome Office will be able to provide a second information point
in Udine, located in the university's International Relations
Centre (Crin), at no. 2 Via Palladio in Udine.
"The University of Udine's support to this initiative - explain
Chancellor Cristiana Compagno and Internationalisation Delegate
Alessandro Trovarelli - gives the project added value, determined
by the specific experience gained in this sector and being invested
in a regional system that is increasingly oriented towards
integrated forms of internationalisation".
The "Welcome Office Friuli Venezia Giulia" initiative -
developed by the Regional Research Body Coordination Team as part
of the International House project, which is managed by Area
Science Park with the support of the FVG region - will also feature
www.welcomeoffice.fvg.it, an important online tool designed to
provide students and researchers with information regarding study
and research opportunities, paperwork, logistical issues and useful
suggestions for everyday life.
The Welcome Office project, as well as the
www.welcomeoffice.fvg.it portal, were introduced at the "Human
Capital Internationalisation and Region's Competitiveness"
conference, held today at AREA Science Park.
