03.03.2014 -
"Modularity Mastering Complexity" is the theme
chosen by ESTECO SpA for the 6th edition
of the modeFRONTIER International Users' Meeting. The
event, dedicated to users of the engineering
optimization software developed by the Italian
company, will be held in Trieste on the
12th and 13th May 2014 at the newly renovated Magazzino
42.
Every two years the event draws over 200
participants from all over the world to the northern-
Italian city for two information-packed days dedicated
to the most innovative applications of ESTECO
technology: the last editions saw over 40 speakers from
the most important international research
centers and companies including Ferrari, Petrobras, BMW, Jaguar
Land Rover, Alenia
Aermacchi, Honda R&D and Volvo
Corporation. The meeting is the perfect
opportunity for users from different, technology-intensive
industrial sectors and the world of
academia and research to exchange and compare ideas.
modeFRONTIER users will testify to the
versatility of the software and, given their different backgrounds,
provide interesting starting-points for
future applications and innovations.
The theme chosen for the event - "Modularity
Mastering Complexity" - tackles some of the
issues facing the world of engineering today. The
complexity of engineering processes represents a
critical challenge in an increasingly demanding and
competitive market. While time-to-market
is decreasing, the number of scientific disciplines and
departments involved in the process chain
are increasing. One way of meeting this challenge lies
in the modularity of innovative software
solutions such as those developed by ESTECO which help
individual specialists focus on their field of
expertise within a collaborative process that embraces
process integration, technology and
simulation and optimization know-how.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The conference is open to both academic and industry
contributions showing how modeFRONTIER
has been applied to accelerate product innovation.
Authors have until 17th February 2014 to
submit their abstracts. The deadline for full
presentations/papers is 30th April 2014.
